Students who did not major in English may be admitted but usually will be expected to make up deficiencies in their undergraduate training by taking course work beyond the minimum normally prescribed for the master's degree.Applicants are generally expected to have performed capably in all their baccalaureate work and to have earned at least a 3.0 (B) average in their undergraduate English courses.
