The university-wide minimum TOEFL score required for consideration for graduate admission is 550 for the paper based test (PBT), and 80 for the internet based test (iBT).

All applicants must provide official GRE general test scores (verbal, quantitative and analytical). The institution code is 4836 and the department code is 0301. There is no hard cut off since the committee looks at all aspects of your application. To help you submit your scores on time, we do accept self-reported scores for reviewing purposes only. GRE score reports are typically received electronically within 5-7 business days from the order date.
All PhD applicants must provide official Subject GRE test scores. The institution code is 4836 and the department code is 0301. We accept the Chemistry, Biochemistry, or any Subject GRE in the STEM field. Applicants that have yet to take the Subject GRE exam can still submit an application. In order to get past the Subject GRE section, applicants can enter a projected date and enter zeros in the Subject GRE score fields. Applicants missing the Subject GRE exam scores are still eligible for an admissions offer. Our admissions committee is aware that ETS will not be offering the Biochemistry Subject GRE this year and will take this into account when reviewing applications.
